Congratulations are due to the Ladies’ Scratch Team who have secured promotion to the First Division of the Yorkshire Scratch Team Championship for 2009.
Drawn against Harrogate, Selby and Hornsea, they won five out of their six matches to finish 3rd in the Second Division. Led by the Lady Captain, Val Holmes, the seven-strong team for each match was selected from the following ladies:- Val Holmes, Rosie Hickie, Maureen Bradley, Denise Cutler, Ruth Goodwin, Dianne Kingswood, Muriel Marrs, Chris Maynard, Heather Muir, Hazel Thompson and Sheila Williams.
